This is a compilation of resources I’ve found helpful during my transition to digital art and running my business. Hope they help you too!

Digital Art + Design

Procreate App

I use this app to draw / design all of my illustrations and even logos. The Procreate app costs $9.99 and is great for everyone from beginners to professionals. There are an infinite amount of resources, add-ons, and possibilities from simple drawings to animations. The main thing to note is that this app is only available on iOS (Apple).

Amanda’s Digital Art Supplies List

This list contains everything I use for my digital art and content creation. My Digital Art Supplies list includes what iPad, Apple Pencil, tripod, etc I personally use, and just how much every item costs.

Canva

This is an online design program that has an endless amount of preset templates for presentations, social media, video, marketing, infographics, wallpapers, book covers, websites, anything! The best part about Canva is that you can export your designs in various vector and raster formats as well as options for transparent backgrounds.

Organization + The business side of things

Dubsado

I use this CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to organize all my clients’ projects and manage their portals. Dubsado lets you handle client / project management, send contracts and invoices, create questionnaires and other forms, manage bookkeeping, track your time, send and receive emails and a TON more! They offer a free trial of 3 clients, which means no set time period, and plenty of time to test out the system before committing to a purchased plan.

Creating Beautiful Dubsado Forms (FREE Course!)

Alice Louise runs a website called Forms & Flows, which has tons of courses and templates built specifically for Dubsado users. There are plenty of blog posts and free resources on there, but also full packages, bundles, and in depth resources for purchase.

Pastel

This web based program allows you to submit full websites, images, and PDFs for feedback or approvals from clients / teammates in minutes! Your client (or teammate) doesn’t even have to create an account to give their feedback directly on the page! This makes it incredibly easy to identify exactly what they want, and where. The basic version of Pastel is free to use, however, it has limited capabilities compared to their paid tiers.
